The Ab Roller is a compact exercise tool that is great for strengthening and toning your muscles. Ever since the day I was first introduced to the ab roller as a teen girl I have loved it and kept one around – I really think it has a huge role to play in keeping me fit after each of the seven pregnancies with my daughters. I combine my “random” ab rolling with other creative ways of toning up while going about my usual daily routine.
In fact, there are abdominal exercises you can do in the shower, while watching TV and even while cooking! These quick and easy steps to a fitter and more energetic you! The random exercises are not strenuous or exhausting and over time will give a boost of confidence and firmer abs. I plan to chat more about all of those tricks in a later post and video so in the meantime I invite you to SUBSCRIBE so you do not miss it; especially if you are simply tired of trying to squeeze a fancy exercise routine in to a crazy, busy mommy and/or life schedule.
The Ab Roller is simply two sturdy, usually rubber or hard plastic wheels with handles extended on each side for grasping. You use the Ab Roller by kneeling and rolling forward and backward with a controlled motion utilizing the strength of your abdominal muscles to perform the exercise. There are lots of excellent and detailed videos and posts out there about this process and I have left a few links to a great blog and videos down below. My video below is a little bit more about the exercise tool itself and my experience with it – if I can put this tool to use and get results, so can you! My weight went to over 200 lbs with my last pregnancy two years ago, but it took me only months to shed the baby weight.
If you have an at home routine you would like to share, please tell us all about it in the comments below. Also feel free to send me your post links with any tips and tricks to staying fit and toning up – now is the perfect time for us to do this!
As I said, keeping to a routine simply does not work for me, my days can be perfectly planned but there is a 90% chance something will change in those plans more than one time for the day. This is why I just exercise wherever I can, whenever I can; I am often asked how I keep fit after having all those babies, at first I never really knew how to explain my technique because it is never planned or perfectly scheduled – but this is exactly why it works for me as an extremely busy mommy and entrepreneur.
I talked a little about how random exercise works and some ways to add it to your life in this blog post; it is just so much easier to plan your exercise around your life instead of plan your life around exercise – especially for moms of many! One of my fave ways to release stress and stay fit is also by random jogging, though I must admit I haven’t had a good sprint in about 3 weeks now – but that’s okay too, as long as there aren’t any 2 to 3 months gaps in between and I keep up with other random exercises and my natural fitness like the physical work on our little family farm.
